London Living

Hi all! I haven't updated here for awhile as we have moved into our apartment in London and we have only just had our internet installed. We haven't forgotten about everyone and hope you still check here often! We have been sorting the apartment out and getting to know the area we are living in London so have been out and about a lot. There's a gym very close by so we have both joined the gym again. Which feels great after a long time! Our place is just a three minute walk to the nearest train station that can take us directly to the city which is great and very handy. It has been very hot and sunny here the past week so the Londoners all have their smiles on. I'm sure we will still be doing lots of exciting things around London so I will continue to update every once in awhile. Missing everyone from home a lot. We have a fold out couch -hint hint! So we are taking visitors! :-) Grace x

Last days in Omis and arrival at Korcula

Hello! We have now left Omis and have arrived in Racisce on Korcula Island. We had a lovely time in Omis, and our Airbnb host who lived above our studio was awesome- she made sure to kiss us on both cheeks saying, "you are so sweet and young!" The day before we left we hired a boat for the day which was really great. Omis has a river leading out to the ocean so we spent half the time up the river and the other half on the ocean! We took a ferry from Split to Korcula Island which was about three hours. A very easy process- no stress! Once we arrived in Korcula which is just beautiful, we caught a bus to the very small town that we are staying in called Racisce. It has three restaurants and one small store. I will have to google the population here, I expect it isn't very big! It is however absolutely idyllic. The perfect place to relax and unwind before the busy days of London. Our room has the most amazing view and two doors opening up to the balcony. It even has vines fu...

Omis so far :-)

Hi Fam and Friends! We are in heaven here in Omis, Croatia. What a beautiful little town! Yesterday we hiked up to the Starigrad Fortress..an incredibly steep 45 minute hike but the views at the top were so worth it!  Today we spent most of the day lazing on the beach. There's a main beach here that we went to yesterday but it is super packed with people so we went for a little walk and found a smaller beach that had amazing clear blue water.  (Mind the bikini shot... But look how gorgeous the water is!) We cooked dinner in our studio and then went for a stroll at dusk. The town is so pretty with lights and a full moon tonight.  I couldn't not buy a shell from these local girls for 5kn. So cute. Having a lovely time. Still missing everyone HEAPS! And we love hearing from you:-)  Xxxx

Croatia

Hi everyone! We arrived in Spliy, Croatia yesterday morning. Very tired after a night sleeping in the airport!! Caught a bus from the airport to Split centre and then another from Split to Omis (pronounced Awmeesh). Omis is a very small town on the coast. It's very beautiful! Our Airbnb host picked us up from the bus stop and took us to our wee studio apartment. Which is very nice! It is only a few minutes walk down to the beach and centre of town. Unfortunately it was raining so we had a nap and headed out for dinner. We are here for 7 nights and then we are heading to an island about four hours from here. Will post updates as we go :-) Grace xoxo

Newark

Hello:-) We have been in Newark now for nearly a week. Visiting Theo's Aunty Christine and Suzanne and Richard are here too (Theo's parents). We went to Lincoln for a day which was a very cute old English town with a historic Cathedral and Castle. Newark is small and has some really good op shops and a great market ( mum you'd love it!) We are leaving for London on Friday. Theo has four days at his school and then we are flying to Croatia!! (I know- can't believe we still have some money left!)  We are in Croatia for two weeks and then we get to move into our apartment in London so will be back there on the 29th of July. Love to everyone xxxx

Arrived Safely!

We have arrived safely in wet wet London! We had no idea that when we arrived London had just received an entire months worth of rain in ONE night. All the trains were delayed and it was IMPOSSIBLE and quite dangerous trying to fit into them. There were throusands of people pushing and getting stuck in the doors. Proved pretty difficult with our massive packs on our backs! We were thinking 'oh my gosh is this what it's going to be like!' Thank goodness we found out it was due to flooding.  This didn't help that all the commuters needed to be home to vote (I'm sure you've seen the news). Our Airbnb accommodation had emailed us to let us know that he couldn't have us anymore. It took us a long time to find somewhere within our budget, finally found a place for the week! We have been to our appointments with our consultant to sign contracts and get all our information sorted. He has organised our bank appointment to set up accounts too. We are spending this wee...

New York + Hello LONDON

Hey everyone! We have had a few busy days in New York ( we caught a bus from Washington DC). We've been staying in Bayonne which is actually in Jersey City..so it's been about an hour train/subway/bus (there's so many options!) into Manhatten. But that hasn't mattered as it was a cheap room. Tonight we went to a New York Yankees Baseball game. They didn't do very well, and we both thought the game was pretty boring. However it was still an awesome experience!  Tomorrow we fly out at 11pm US time to London. We can't believe it's been 6 months of travelling. Here's a few pics from the last few days. Love us xxx

Washington DC

Hey Family and Friends! We've had an awesome couple of days here in Washington DC. Packed full of walking and activities! We arrived back at our Airbnb at 7pm just before the big storm that's happening right now. Managed to work our way around the metro trains and buses today. We've been to the White House, National Monument, War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Museum of Natural History, National Zoo (panda zoo!) and the Museum of Air and Space.  Here's some snaps for you:-)  Flags flying half-staff for Orlando shooting. We hope everyone is doing well and still checking the blog! Miss you all :-) Xoxo
