Phi Phi Island

Hello! We have had an amazing trip on Phi Phi Island. Just a two hour ferry from Phuket and you reach the most amazing islands with stunning turquoise waters. We took a day trip on a long boat around the nice bays and islands. They provided us with snorkels, breakfast and lunch. The best part was snorkeling at sunset and then swimming with the plankton! We swam into a dark cave and the plankton lit up everywhere we swam. Yesterday we took the ferry to Krabi, we are staying at Ao Nang beach which is a small beach area and then we will head to Krabi town. Viking Cave - Seven people live in here! Love to you all xxx

Made it to Phuket

Hi all:-) just a post to let you know we have arrived in Phuket. We are now researching into where to go from here! We think we will travel to Koh Phi Phi island today ( very famous from the movie 'The Beach' with Leonardo DiCaprio). Food market lastnight was amazing! With love <3 Grace

:-)

Hi everyone! So it's our last night in Bali.We have got Theo's luggage back!! :-) Tomorrow morning we fly to Thailand. Yesterday we went   on a 'Rocky Mounting Biking Tour' which was just amazing. Our tour guide Gede picked us up and took us to a coffee plantation where we saw how the coffee was made along with various herbal coffees/teas. Check out all the samples they gave us! We had breakfast overlooking Mt Batur (active volcano). We were lucky because we were the only ones on the tour today. Usually Gede takes a larger group. The bike ride was about two hours long. It was really cool biking through all the native villages and seeing the Balinese people going about their daily lives. The other day we visited the Monkey Forrest in Ubud. The monkeys are so cheeky! We saw one steal a man phones and they try to search through your pockets and even open up your bags. Very cute though :-)  Will post again as soon as I can! We are safe and ha...

Bali - We made it! Our luggage didn't....

Hi family and friends :-) I am writing this from the balcony of our hotel. Theo is asleep. It's early here but I couldn't sleep. I must still be getting used to the local time and perhaps just the excitement of it all. I would like a coffee, but I have to wait for breakfast when it is free. So, what a perfect time to get writing! We have made it to the lovely Bali. We had a pretty easy flight and the airport wasn't nearly as scary as I had anticipated. Until we were the last ones standing at the carousel waiting for Theo's bag! Air Asia didn't have any answers to where it could be.. Our driver was picking us up at 3pm and we didn't get out until after 4pm as we had to fill in report forms etc. Lucky he waited for us. Day three and we are still handwashing and hanging the only clothes Theo has at the moment. Which is hard here in Bali because you want to change 3 times a day! The humidity is crazy. Yesterday we had breakfast early and ventured out to hir...

Update :-)

Hello! Well we only have four days left before we fly out of Melbourne to Bali. The last three weeks have flown by! We have booked our first two nights in Bali and then we will find the rest when we are there. Last night we went to a Nepalese restaurant  in Brunswick which is north of Melbourne where my cousin Kara lives. We have been staying in south Melbourne so it was nice to see a little of the other side! Tonight Theo is catching up with a couple of his friends that are living here and I'm going out with some friends also. Tomorrow night we are having a farewell BBQ at Sharon and Ross's. It has cooled down a wee bit the last couple of days. On Wednesday it reached 44 degrees! I will update more frequently hopefully while we are in Bali. Missing our families heaps. xoxo Lazing about at Sharon and Ross's

Exploring Melbourne

Hello!! We have been out exploring Melbourne this week. Getting used to the trams, trains and buses! It's like a beginners guide to London :-) Today I (Grace!) ventured down to St Kilda with my cousins Monique and Bianca and we hired bikes and biked along the beach toward the city. The bikes are only $3 for 24 hours and there are bike stands all around the city where you can pay at a machine and pick them up/drop them off anywhere which is great! Tonight Theo and I are heading out Chapel Street to have dinner with a couple of my friends and Theo's friend Izzy. Apparently there are some really great rooftop bars around that area. Love and miss you all very much xoxo

Mornington Peninsula

Hi everyone! We have been without wireless for four days as we have been exploring the Mornington Peninsula with my cousins and their partners :-) Aunty Sharon and Uncle Ross own a bach in Blairgowrie there. It took us about an hour to get from Moniques in Ormond to the bach. It is so beautiful! We arrived on New Years Eve and it was 40 degrees!!! Straight to the beach for a dip! Blairgowrie Beach (Note: You can click on any of the photos to make them bigger on your screen :-) New Years Eve was a great night. We had a bbq at the bach and went down to the beach at midnight to watch the fireworks going off around the bays. New Years Eve On January 2nd we all went on a walk called the Point Nepean. It took us 3 hours to complete it..the views were amazing! It wasn't too hot on this day so we were okay! Spot Theo with his singlet around his face to protect him from the fly's. Haha! The flies are are so pesky!  :-) Point Nepean Point Nepean ...
