Las Vegas- World Series of Poker

Well! Here we are in Las Vegas again. Theo has played in two tournaments, so far. Yesterday he did really well. I got to be a spectator! Out of 7,300 people he came 385th..pretty good for a first timer I reckon! It didn't go so well today..

The place we are staying is right across from a lovely park with picnic facilities, basketball and tennis courts so we headed out for a game this afternoon.. He's still looking pretty chuffed don't you think?...:-)

The guy we are staying with let us borrow his rackets. This only lasted about 20 minutes as it was 43 degrees outside. !!!!

Lots of love to everyone back home

18 days till we fly out to London..and we get to see Theo's parents, Suzanne and Richard. Can't wait!! :-) xx

Made it to Phuket

Hi all:-) just a post to let you know we have arrived in Phuket. We are now researching into where to go from here! We think we will travel to Koh Phi Phi island today ( very famous from the movie 'The Beach' with Leonardo DiCaprio). Food market lastnight was amazing! With love <3 Grace

Playing it safe with his tuna roll..

Pai :-)

We thought we loved Chiang Mai but we have totally fallen for Pai!! Today we were up at 7am. A difficult task these days. Headed to Pai. The road, we were told, can be very dangerous. Checked out the minivan option..heard only horror stories of crazy bus drivers, people fearing for their lives, and vomit. Hmmm. So we decided to take it on ourselves!! Hired the scooter for some extra days. Chucked our bags into a minivan (they took them to Pai for us-very handy!) and off we went!  We were very happy with our decision to drive the road ourselves, as we got to see the most stunning scenic views. Something you would not be able to see in a winding minibus. It took us a little longer than five hours to get to Pai. Pai is a lovely, relaxed little town. We are staying in a gorgeous little bungalow about ten minutes from the centre of town. The gardens are beautiful!
